About Superyacht Charter Guide
Last updated November 4, 2026
Superyacht Charter Guide is an independent editorial site about one of the most expensive weeks in travel: a private yacht charter. We cover the contract and the cost structure first — base rate, APA, VAT, tipping, insurance — and the destination decision second.
What we publish
- Cost breakdowns grounded in fleet documentation, industry terms (MYBA), and public regional rules.
- Budget estimates with the assumptions shown.
- Comparisons that say when the cheaper option is the better one.
- Planning guides a first-time charterer can actually follow.
What we do not do
- We do not sell charters, act as a broker, or accept booking deposits.
- We do not accept payment for a ranking or a review score.
- We do not present estimates as quotes. Season, fleet, and region vary.
Who writes it
The byline is Superyacht Charter Guide Editorial Team. We are a small research desk, not a travel agency. Every article lists its sources, and every estimate shows its arithmetic. If a claim cannot be sourced, it is labelled as our estimate rather than stated as fact. Theeditorial team page sets out who writes the guides and how a page is checked before it publishes.

What we do not cover
We do not broker deals, skipper vessels, or give legal advice about maritime contracts. Charter content is general information; a written charter agreement governs every booking, and a licensed adviser should review anything before you sign. We also do not book travel onshore or arrange transfers.
How the site is funded
Affiliate commissions from charter operators and booking platforms fund the research. There are no sponsored rankings, no paid placements, and no display ads at launch. The cost calculator runs entirely in the browser and does not send your numbers anywhere.
